Rules On Discipline

  • Special attention is given to ensure a high standard of morality and discipline in the school. Guardians are requested to collaborate in this matter with the school authorities by urging their wards to be regular and punctual. Periodical reports will keep parents informed of their children. These reports are to be signed by the parents and returned to the school authority.
  • Habitual idleness, irregular attendance, disobedience and misbehavior at school or even outside the premises, being injurious to the moral tone of the school, are sufficient reasons for dismissal.
  • Every pupil must possess the school diary which should be brought to the school daily.
  • Student who have been absent from class must have the reason for their absence briefly noted in their ‘Regularity Record’. Reasons of a private nature may be intimated by letter. Birthdays, excursion urgent business etc, are not sufficient reasons for sanction of holidays. Absence from school in order to study is never allowed. No leave of absence can be granted without a previous application in writing from the guardian.
  • To be admitted to the class room, those who have been absent and ‘late –comers must show their teacher their ‘Regularity Record ‘duly countersigned by the headmaster.
  • No student is allowed to leave the school premises during class time with the permission of the Headmaster or Assistant Headmaster.
  • Each class is responsible for its goods. Any damage done in class, in the school premises, will have to be made good by the students.
  • During the recess no pupil is to remain in the class-rooms.
  • Smoking, chewing of betel nut, chewing gums, sweet supari, tobacco products,alcoholic drinks and any sort of drugs are strictly forbidden. Indulging in these invites expulsion of the students.
  • Students should be decent in appearance and demeanor Abnormal hairstyle, wearing pants below the waste line etc,are note permitted.
  • Mobile phone, Camera, I- pod, CD etc, are strictly forbidden in the school premises.
  • To acquire a greater facility in the study of English, only English should be spoken in the school premises. Corrective measures will be taken against students who are caught speaking in any other language in the School premises.
  • No magazines, newspapers and books other than text books are allowed in the school without the consent of the School Authorities. Parcel and letters are subject to inspection.
  • Pupils may be sent home during School hours for reasons of misbehavior, lack of compliance with Rules or for any serious eventuality.
  • Any communication (Request or complaint) made by the parents should be addressed to the Headmaster and not to the Class Teacher.
  • Parents or Guardians are not allowed to see their children or interview teachers during School hours, except with the permission of the Headmaster.
  • Strict regularity and implicit obedience will be exacted in class. Any student who shows no interest for learning or does not provide a teaching atmosphere in the class is not eligible for the school.
  • Students should cultivate politeness and courtesy of speech and conduct as well as cleanliness of dress and person.
  • Pupils using or attempting to use any unfair means at an Examination will be considered as having failed, There will be no second chance in this regard.
  • Collection of money for whatsoever purpose will not be allowed without the Headmaster’s previous permission.
  • In all questions of promotion or failure, the Headmaster’s decision is final and it is based on teacher’s consenses.
  • Answer Scripts of the Final Examination will not be available for any clarification and reevaluation by the parents or Guardians.
  • No act of indiscipline, insubordination, interference in the administration, disrespect to any religion or community by any student shall not be tolerated.
  • It is strictly compulsory for every pupil to come to school with clean and full prescribed School Uniform:
    • a) The prescribed school uniform colour shall be (For Boys: Pants & Shirt, For Girls: Skirt & Shirt) Authorised by School Authority.
    • b) Grey Pullover with School Badge on it (for the winter).
    • c) Black Leather Shoes, white socks and School belt.
